The Shakespeare 5225-XT-AIS is a dedicated AIS antenna from Shakespeare’s Galaxy series, designed specifically for AIS transmit and receive performance, not general-purpose VHF voice use.

Unlike wideband “do-everything” antennas, this model is tuned for the AIS frequency range, making it a solid choice for vessels running standalone AIS transponders or receivers where consistent performance matters.
