Icom IC-M510 EVO VHF with AIS + NMEA 2000®
The Icom IC-M510 EVO is a modern fixed-mount marine VHF built for today’s networked helms.
The big upgrade with the EVO generation is simple: NMEA 2000® connectivity is built-in
(no external interface module required like the original M510), and you still get Icom’s clean UI, color display,
Class D DSC safety, and smart-device control.
This AIS-enabled version adds onboard AIS target viewing on the radio display, making it a strong
“one-unit” choice for boats that want VHF + AIS awareness at the helm without adding another screen.
Built-in NMEA 2000® + Loud Two-Way Hailer
The IC-M510 EVO connects directly to an NMEA 2000® backbone for plug-and-play data sharing with
compatible equipment (like an MFD). It can send GNSS position, DSC call information, channel data, and AIS-related
information across the network.
It also supports a 25W two-way hailer and 20W RX hailer functions (with an optional
compatible speaker horn such as the SP-37)—useful for crew communications, dock/bridge calls,
and foghorn patterns.
Wireless Control + Intercom via Smart Devices
Using Icom’s RS-M500 app (iOS/Android), you can wirelessly control the radio through the M510 EVO’s
WLAN feature. Up to three smart devices can be used as a wireless microphone, a simple remote control,
and/or an intercom station.
Integrated AIS Target Monitoring
With AIS enabled, the IC-M510 EVO can display real-time AIS vessel traffic information on the radio’s screen and lets you
place an individual DSC call to a selected AIS target directly from the AIS display.
Want full transmit + receive AIS capability? Pair the M510 EVO with an AIS transponder such as the
Icom MA-510TR
(or any compatible AIS transceiver)
over NMEA 2000® / NMEA 0183.
Color TFT Display + Award-Winning Design
The bright color TFT display offers nearly a 180° viewing angle with clear icons and characters.
A night-mode option improves readability in low-light operation.
The IC-M510 series is also an iF DESIGN AWARD winner, and looks right at home in modern “glass cockpit”
helms—whether installed in a panel cutout or on a bracket.
Class D DSC Safety + Built-in GNSS
The built-in Class D DSC continuously monitors Channel 70 and supports one-touch distress calling.
The radio includes an integrated GNSS receiver for position information used in DSC distress calls
and position reporting.
