Icom M510 Plus VHF Marine Radio with AIS Receiver
The Icom M510 Plus is a Class D DSC fixed-mount VHF marine radio with an integrated AIS receiver, built-in WLAN connectivity, and a large 3.5" color TFT display. Its slim design makes it easier to install in tighter helm spaces while still delivering full-featured VHF communication, AIS target display, and modern wireless control options.
With its integrated AIS receiver, the M510 Plus can display real-time AIS vessel traffic directly on the radio screen. You can view nearby AIS targets and initiate individual DSC calls to selected AIS vessels from the AIS screen.
The M510 Plus features a wide-viewing-angle color TFT LCD with day and night display modes for improved readability in changing light conditions. The interface is straightforward and easy to use, with animated menus and a clean presentation that works well for both casual and experienced boaters.
Using Icom’s free RS-M500 app, up to three iOS® or Android™ smart devices can connect via WLAN and function as wireless microphones or remote controllers. The system also supports intercom communication between connected smart devices and the radio. An optional COMMANDMIC™ can also be connected for added remote control flexibility.
The radio includes NMEA 0183/HS connectivity, and the optional CT-M500 wireless interface box adds NMEA 2000® integration along with hailer/PA functionality. The CT-M500 can connect wirelessly to the radio, which can simplify installation when the NMEA 2000 backbone is located elsewhere on the vessel.
