The GAM SS-2 Mini is a compact, dual-purpose VHF and AIS antenna designed for installations
where space is limited and a single antenna must serve both marine VHF radio and AIS equipment.
The antenna is center tuned to 159 MHz, providing balanced performance across the
VHF marine band and AIS frequencies.
Marine VHF radios operate between 156.025–157.425 MHz, while AIS operates at
162 MHz. By tuning the antenna midpoint between these services, the SS-2 Mini offers a
practical compromise for combined VHF/AIS use.
