Q: What cable is needed for this antenna going to a Garmin AIS 800?

A: The GAM SS-2 Mini VHF/AIS antenna uses a standard SO-239 (UHF female) connector, and so does the Garmin AIS 800. That means you'll need a standard VHF coaxial cable with PL-259 (UHF male) connectors on both ends. For these purposes, usually short runs, RG-58/RG-8X would be fine.

Q: is this a proven VHF antenna for use with Class B AIS? what mounting and cable comes with it, price please for all needed to install of a rubber dinghy?
