GAM

GAM Electronics
GAM Electronics has been building rugged, high-gain communication antennas in the United States for decades. Best known in the marine market for durable stainless steel designs and practical, long-service-life performance, GAM remains a trusted name for boaters, commercial users, and government applications alike.
The Origin of GAM
GAM began in 1956 in Manchester, New Hampshire, founded by George Sansoucie and Andrew Nuttle. Both men were involved in the Civil Air Force and recognized the need for greater VHF communication range, particularly during search and rescue operations.
That early focus on real-world communication performance helped establish GAM’s reputation for practical, high-gain antenna solutions built to work in demanding conditions.
Over the years, GAM continued to manufacture quality antennas for a wide range of communication needs, maintaining relevance across commercial, government, and recreational markets. The brand is especially well known for antennas that combine strong performance with straightforward installation and long-term durability.
Made in the USA
Today, GAM operates from Harrison, Maine, where the company continues its tradition of manufacturing antennas in the USA. The current owners previously operated the tugboat Anne Carlander in the Pacific Northwest before relocating to Maine and acquiring GAM.
GAM Electronics is a division of Yankee Microwave, and the company remains committed to producing dependable communication antennas with an emphasis on quality construction, stainless steel durability, and American manufacturing.
For marine customers, GAM antennas offer a compelling blend of proven design, rugged materials, and a long-standing reputation in the field.
Why We Like GAM
At Milltech Marine, we value manufacturers that still build products with a clear purpose and a strong reputation behind them. GAM’s lineup reflects that mindset—simple, effective, durable antennas made in the USA, with designs that have earned trust across marine and communications markets for decades.
