Q: Will this provide the GPS signal needed for Navionics on a wifi-only iPad?

A: Yes, once the iPad has has joined the B924 WiFi network and you have setup Navionics with the correct IP address and port, it will send both AIS and GPS data to the iPad. If there are issues, be sure to check that GPS sentence output is on.

Q: The pictures of the B924 only show ONE vhf coax antenna connector, and one for the GPS antenna. It seems to me for this unit to have an integral splitter it needs a second vhf coax connector... on to go to the antenna, and one to go to the vhf radio. Please explain. ?

A: For the B900 units with integrated splitters, you are right. There are two SO239 connectors on the back. One for the inbound VHF antenna connection and the other connects to the short cable going to the radio. The picture is the generic B900 picture. The manual show this clearly.

Q: Can the B924 work with Furuno VX2-NavNet ethernet system? That is, can it be equipped with a cable that will plug into the ethernet hub? Thank you

A: No the WiFi networking on the B924 cannot be used with the Furuno ethernet system to send AIS data. You would interface the two using the NMEA 2000 network or NMEA 0183 direct connection.
