Easy installation

Connect a VHF antenna to the rear socket, plug the unit into your USB socket, install the USB drivers supplied on the CD and the unit is ready to receive AIS transmissions from vessels within VHF range.

Excellent for portable systems

Combine with USB GPS, AIS/VHF Antenna, Coastal Explorer 2009 and your laptop or netbook for a compact and fully portable system. Your laptop supplies the power, so no other power connection is needed.

	I've been using this AIS receiver about 1 year and it works great. the size and weight is perfect for my job, easy to carry and connect to laptop, i've recommanded to my friends and many of them are start using now, the only thing is to use the better antenna cos normal antenna can't detect AIS data more then 3 Nmiles.
