AMEC Tx-Off Switch Box

The AMEC Tx-Off switch box is specifically designed for the AMEC CAMINO-101 Class B AIS transponder to support the following two functions:

To disable the AIS transmission (entering “Silent Mode”): The user can disable and enable the transmission signal by pressing the Tx-Off toggle switch.

To send out a SRM (Safety Related Message): This switch enables the user to send out the SRM message (e.g. MAYDAY) once a minute upon being pressed. The switch LED will flash when the SRM is being sent.

The Tx-Off box can only be used with newer CAMINO-101 models (AMEC part number: B101EX2W-036).

This switch box comes with 4 foot cables that connect to the serial port on the CAMINO-101 and includes a Y-cable to the switch and an optional serial device. This allows the switch box to be mounted in a convenient location.

NOTE: This product only works with the AMEC CAMINO-101 Class B Transponder. If you are buying this switch for an existing CAMINO-101, please ensure that you have AMEC part number B101EX2W-036 or later. This switch will not work with earlier models.
