AWARD-WINNING AIS RECEIVER: Built tough for reliability & performance
The AMEC CYPHO-101 AIS receiver delivers a winning combination of flexibility, low cost and ruggedness. Its versatile range of interfaces connects the CYPHO-101 to NMEA standard chart plotters from Raymarine, Garmin, Northstar, Lowrance, Simrad and others, as well as RS232 and USB devices such as navigation computers. The USB port can also provide power to the unit, if needed.

AMEC logo The CYPHO products are IPX5 waterproof certified to provide extra protection against challenging marine environments. The whole CYPHO-101 series has gained CE and FCC certification, and passed IEC 60945 tests.

KEY FEATURES

Dual-channel parallel AIS receivers

The CYPHO-101 includes two AIS receivers operating in parallel providing true dual-channel simultaneous reception of both Class A and Class B transponder signals. This ensures that all AIS transponder broadcasts are captured in real time. .

Viewer program included

The CYPHO 101 includes a free Windows-based AIS viewer program to display Radar View and Alphanumeric information about AIS targets.

Use with dedicated antenna or splitter

Can be used with a dedicated VHF marine radio antenna or click here for information on using with one of our VHF antenna splitters. If you plan on using this AIS receiver with an antenna splitter then you will need a PL259to BNC female adapter

Installation & Set-up Notes:

The RS-232 cable supplied with the receiver is terminated at each end by a 9-pin D type female connectors.
Use the Serial Port (not USB) connection if you configure baud rate with included AIS Viewer software.
DO NOT connect USB and 9-pin serial ports to PC at same time.
